Starting Your Own Law Practice Is Topic at Phoenix WIL Lunch

The Phoenix JRCLS Women in the Law group recently held its Spring Luncheon, with a panel presentation on the topic "You Can Go Your Own Way: Words of Advice on Starting Your Own Law Practice."

Panel members included DeeAnn Gillespie, Maren Tobler Hanson, Susan Hawkins, Kristy Blackwell and Natalie Greaves.
Representing a broad spectrum of experience, these women lawyers shared their insights and advice on everything from deliberating over the decision to start your own practice to tackling fears and obstacles to dealing with the logistics and practicalities. They shared advice on choosing an area of specialty, hiring support staff, and developing a business plan.
In addition to coming away with some training and first-hand advice from women who have gone their "own way," all in attendance enjoyed good food, excellent company and the opportunity for networking.
