El Torito Grill in Irvine, California, was the setting for a recent lunch gathering of the Women in the Law in the Orange County Chapter. Our thanks to Sherri Fanger McInnes, chair of the OC WIL group, for sending this report:
"Lunch was great. We had seven women attend. . . . It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other a little better and do a little networking. Our student members asked many questions about the ins and outs of practicing law and work-life balance. We all benefited from the resulting discussion. We have some women who have practiced all along (since completing law school) and others who left the workforce to raise kids and have now rejoined the workforce. We have some working full-time, and others part-time. It was helpful and enlightening to hear from each woman because of our different experiences. A good time was had by all."
Sounds like it was fun!
ReplyDeleteHow can we find out about future events like this one? I just moved to LA to start law school at USC and would love to get involved.
ReplyDeleteThe LA chapter is a great chapter with amazing women. Check out their website at jrclsla.org and contact one of the women listed on their "About Us" page. Good luck!
